Bomb Technician Training

Who this is for

Local and state bomb technicians, SWAT tactical operators who work alongside EOD, federal agency personnel, National Guard civil support teams, and first responders whose duties intersect with explosive threats.

What the course covers

• IED recognition and threat assessment — device typologies, current threat trends, and decision frameworks for first-arriving officers and bomb technicians.
• Render-safe procedures — established techniques using PAN disruptors and other tools, with emphasis on decision-making under time pressure and partial information.
• Commercial and military explosives identification — field identification, handling constraints, and documentation for prosecution.
• Blast effects and standoff distances — cordon sizing, evacuation distances, and protective posture.
• Robot operations and diagnostics — hands-on Andros F6 and tEODor-class platforms, including field troubleshooting.
• X-ray interpretation — real-time digital X-ray workflow integrated with render-safe decisions.

How we teach it

Every scenario is drawn from validated after-action reports — not textbooks. Inert training aids replicate the devices your team is actually seeing in the field. Class sizes are capped so every student gets real repetitions under instructor observation. Courses can run at our Houston-area training facility or on-site at your agency.
